Buffer tourism areas
Buffer safaris can widen your planning options, but the entry gate and current permit configuration still matter when choosing where to stay.

The decision that matters
Do not choose a zone from a wildlife-sighting promise alone. Your accommodation, arrival route and the relevant entry gate can materially affect the practicality of an early safari.
Zone access, vehicle capacity, entry arrangements and availability are operational details. Confirm the current official information for your travel date before paying or finalising a plan.
If your priority is repeated safari time, compare practical availability across areas. If your priority is a particular landscape or a quieter itinerary, include those preferences without treating any sighting as guaranteed.
Kanha has multiple tourism entry points. A zone decision is therefore also a logistics decision: allow enough time to reach the correct gate and avoid unnecessary cross-forest transfers between excursions.
Compare before you choose
Use these comparisons to understand the trade-offs between tourism areas and match your safari plan to your stay, dates and current forest-department rules.
